Wake Forest University High School Band Day – October 31
Wake Forest University is hosting their high school band night this Saturday, Oct 31st, open for any high schooler interested in spending a day experiencing the gameday routine of a college marching band member. This is a wonderful opportunity to have the chance to watch, rehearse, and perform with an excellent collegiate ensemble. If you are interested, you are welcome to register through the link below, or just comment below and I am happy to register any interested parties as a group.
If interested, below is the email sent out by the Wake Forest Director of Bands regarding the event:
We are finalizing our 2026 HS Band Day for the Wake Forest vs. Virginia football game on Saturday, October 31st (kickoff is 3:45; band activities will begin about 5 hours before kickoff). Our goal is to provide a memorable experience for everyone involved, including a unique opportunity for your students to perform on the field at halftime with the Spirit of the Old Gold & Black Marching Band, the oldest college marching band in North Carolina!
We can accommodate both individual registration (band members registering on their own) and group registration (band directors registering their entire band or a portion together). Students, band directors, and necessary staff who register will receive complimentary tickets, and families can purchase tickets for the game at a discounted rate of $15.
If you have any questions, please contact me, Dr. Tim Heath, Director of Bands, at heatht@wfu.edu, or call the office at 336-758-3050.
Thank you for considering this invitation. We look forward to your participation and creating a memorable experience for your students. Go Deacs!
I have attached the registration google doc link below, feel free to check it out!
